Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.5
Lantern Hollow is a slow-burn adventure with a great sense of place. You wander a foggy village by lantern light, tapping to examine things, collect items, and solve environmental puzzles that never feel arbitrary. The atmosphere does a lot of heavy lifting, and it earns it.
Puzzles are logical and mostly fair. A couple of times I got stuck, but the hint system nudges rather than hands you the answer, which I appreciated. Progress saves anywhere, so it fits a stop-start play style.
Performance is smooth and battery use is modest thanks to the static scenes. Headphones are worth it here; the sound design is half the experience. Controls are pure tapping, comfortable in either orientation.
